Tideborn Outpost
★★★★☆ 4.2
Tideborn Outpost is a slow, clever base-builder about keeping a seaside settlement alive. You balance fishing, farming and construction while storm seasons threaten to wash half of it away. The pacing is deliberate, so it suits people who like to plan a few turns ahead rather than tap frantically.
It all runs locally, and there's a proper pause, which makes it great for offline sessions where you might get interrupted. We lost an afternoon to it once we figured out how to route supplies efficiently.
The interface is a little cramped on smaller screens, but zoom and the clean icons mostly save it. A rewarding strategy game that doesn't nag you to come back.
What we liked
- Deep supply management
- Works offline with full pause
- Satisfying long-term planning
